This Shayler-produced single was inspired by a minor disagreement between my girlfriend and I, to be honest I don’t even remember exactly what started it anymore lol. What I do know is I was at Hits & History already recording the track and I missed multiple calls from her, which only made a mountain out of a mole hill. “She get mad when I don’t pick up my cell phone!” The record is mostly about wanting my partner to communicate with me and just tell me exactly what she expects, rather than expect me to read her mind or guess. I’m big on open, honest communication! I was actually drinking 1800 in the studio while writing this which is why I name dropped it, I tend to get inspired by things I see in the room when writing my lyrics.
